Daddy! What did you do in the navy?

I joined the Navy as an artificer at HMS Fisgard on September 3rd, 1982 for a four-year apprenticeship in Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Sadly, HMS Fisgard no longer exists and the navy no longer relies on trained artificers (engineers) but the memory of our time on and under the waves will sustain for a little longer.

Non manibus solem sed corde.
not only with the hands but with the heart.
